Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Community Program Coordinator to help lead and manage community engagement initiatives. This role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that promote community well-being, social inclusion, and public health. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in program development, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. In this position you will be assisting our Regional Community Program Coordinator at Kaiaulu O Kukuia & primarily serving Kaiaulu O Kupuohi. Reliable transportation is required*

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Review any federal, state, county, or lender requirements to provide social programs.

· Identify the social issues and community needs of the tenants by observation, tenant interviews, and interviews of other community stakeholders such as teachers and other interested parties.

· Identify the social service providers on the community & other resources to meet the Community needs.

  • Design, plan, and execute community programs aligned with organizational goals and Community needs.
  • Work with Regional Community Program Coordinator to develop a property specific Community Service plan.
  • Implement the Community Program Plan which would include providing the tenant with contact information, and/or being a liaison between the Tenant and the provider and coordinating delivery of service on-site.
  • Manage volunteer recruitment, engagement, and retention to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote programs through social media platforms, local communications, and community events.
  • Coordinate with partners, local agencies, and stakeholders to foster collaborations that enhance program reach and effectiveness.
  • Collect and analyze data related to program participation, outcomes, and feedback to inform continuous improvement efforts.
  • Oversee fundraising activities and grant applications to support program sustainability.
  • Conduct public speaking engagements to raise awareness about programs and organizational initiatives. This includes speaking to Residents, Stakeholders, and Investors.
  • Maintain administrative records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Prepare a calendar of services to be provided on-site or other service and programs being deliver elsewhere that may be of interest to the tenants.
  • Regularly communicates with management regarding the program’s status and any problems
  • Prepare an Impact Report (executive summary) at least quarterly including but not limit to a forecast of programs to be delivered on-site and evaluations of programs previously delivered.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

This role is ideal for a passionate individual committed to community service who thrives in a collaborative environment. The Community Program Coordinator will play a vital role in shaping impactful programs that benefit the community while developing professionally through diverse responsibilities.

  • Relevant experience in volunteer management and supervising teams.
  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
  • Excellent time management & organizational skills, with an attention for detail.
  • Expertise in program development & coordination.
  • Ability to collect and interpret data for program evaluation purposes.
  • Knowledge of public health principles; social work, or related fields is a plus.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and foster collaboration.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to adapt to new software.
  • Experience in fundraising, coordinating efforts, recruitment of volunteers, and administrative tasks.
  • Bilingual in Ilocano, Tagalog, Hawaiian, Spanish, or Pacific Island dialects preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift-up to 20 pounds at times.

· Will require extensive walking.

Office Hours & Schedule

· Service Coordinator shall maintain onsite office hours from 2PM-7PM 4 days a week. Hours may vary on days where after hour programs or events are taking place. Some events may take place on Weekends.

Program Coordinator will work between Kaiaulu O Kupuohi & Kaiaulu O Kukuia (across the Lahaina Bypass).

· Weekly property schedule may look like: (Subject to change due)

o Kaiāulu O Kupuohi : Three (3) days per week

o Kaiāulu O Kukuia : Two (2) days per week

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
