What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Clerk position at iJility?
We are hiring 12 Yard Clerks to support our Peak Season operations across two locations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working outdoors while supporting logistics and transportation operations, we'd like to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate trailer movement within the yard.
- Communicate with drivers and warehouse personnel.
- Monitor inbound and outbound trailer traffic.
- Ensure trailers are parked in the correct locations.
- Assist with maintaining safe and efficient yard operations.
- Support shipping and logistics teams during peak operations.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Complete required documentation and system updates accurately.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping, logistics, or yard experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Basic computer or handheld device experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to safely navigate an active yard environment.
