What are the responsibilities and job description for the Label Technician position at II-VI?
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform labeling and inspection of low-volume, high-complexity optical transceivers/transponders
- Perform necessary inspection and document outcome
- Properly fill out inspection reports, data sheets, etc., as required per process
- Capture process and product information in traceability and material tracking database
- Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations
Education & Experience
- High school diploma preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection ; preferably in the transceiver/transponder or opto-electronics industry
- Must possess the ability to multi-task his/her assignments
- Ability to demonstrate dexterity and hand-eye coordination is desired
- Must be able to perform repetitive task for 8 to 12 hours
- Basic computer literacy skills required
- Flexible to work overtime and weekends when required
- Must be able to use microscope for duration of the shift as needed
- Must be a good team player
