Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items, including specialty drinks and desserts, to enhance guest satisfaction and sales revenue
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, including cocktail and spirits service, maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Process cash and credit transactions efficiently while handling cash handling responsibilities accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and guest satisfaction during busy service hours
- Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed to ensure a seamless guest experience
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume shifts while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly and knowledge of alcohol laws applicable to beverage service
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by the restaurant industry
