Job Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Manage the waiting list, seat guests efficiently, and rotate seating among servers to ensure fair distribution.
- Answer phones professionally, take reservations accurately, and provide information about menu items or restaurant hours.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to accurately process guest orders, payments, and gift card transactions.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment with accuracy and maintain a balanced till.
- Resolve guest inquiries and complaints courteously and efficiently, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, waiting area, and front entrance.
- Assist in maintaining dining room cleanliness, including clearing tables and resetting place settings during peak hours.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
- Basic math skills and comfort using a POS system.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent guest service.
