Server Dayshift

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server for our vibrant daytime restaurant team. As a key member of our service staff, you will create memorable dining experiences by providing exceptional customer service, expertly handling food and beverage orders, and ensuring guest satisfaction from the moment they arrive until they leave. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials with enthusiasm.
• Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct for timely processing.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Process cash and card transactions accurately, handle change responsibly, and manage tabs with precision using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
• Engage with guests to foster positive relations, address concerns promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction during their visit.

Requirements

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire; understanding of sanitation practices required.
• Flexibility to work during daytime hours including weekends; open availability preferred for day shifts.
