Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
- Take accurate food and beverage orders efficiently, utilizing POS systems
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest satisfaction
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and ensuring food safety standards are met
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation when needed, adhering to food handling protocols
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address inquiries, and resolve concerns promptly
- Assist with night-time closing procedures, including cleaning, restocking supplies, and completing shift reports
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining excellent customer service
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with serving guests in a hospitality or guest relations role is advantageous
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently using sales techniques like upselling strategies on OpenTable or directly at the table
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations are essential
