Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food prep according to established recipes and safety standards
- Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining high quality and presentation
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene in all kitchen activities
- Support menu planning by preparing daily specials or seasonal items as directed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with safety standards in production
- Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations to meet client specifications
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally during service hours, supporting overall restaurant operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety management
- Skilled in knife handling, slicing techniques, and general kitchen practices
- Familiarity with food industry standards including meal preparation, food handling, and safety protocols
- Experience in restaurant or culinary settings demonstrating proficiency in food service and kitchen operations
