Position Overview
We are hiring a full-time Logistics Specialist to support daily sample transportation and coordination.
This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on exposure to the biotech industry while developing strong operational and organizational skills. The role involves coordinating daily pickup and return routes, communicating with clients to schedule logistics, and ensuring proper handling of biological samples.
In addition to transportation, responsibilities include basic sample intake (photo documentation and system check-in), preparing outbound shipments, and supporting day-to-day logistics and operational workflow. This position is best suited for individuals who are organized, dependable, and comfortable managing a structured daily schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily sample pickup and return routes across the Greater Boston area using a company-provided vehicle
- Monitor email communications and proactively schedule pickups and returns with clients
- Ensure all samples are handled, transported, and documented properly in accordance with company standards
- Perform sample intake procedures, including photographing, labeling, and checking samples into internal systems
- Prepare and manage outbound shipments (e.g., FedEx/UPS), including packaging and tracking
- Maintain accurate records and chain-of-custody documentation
- Provide operational support to ensure smooth workflow across projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (recent graduates welcome)
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Good communication and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
