Position Summary:

As an integral IHI team member, the Project Manager is responsible for working with a team to plan and successfully implement a set of projects. This includes the day-to-day management of all operations and interactions within a given project. The Project Manager works closely with internal IHI teams, faculty, customers, and other stakeholders (individuals and organizations) to ensure delivery of the most effective and efficient programs and services to drive the improvement of health and health care outcomes worldwide.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Design, develop, and drive project workplans to achieve desired results
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality work products in a timely manner
  • Plan, implement, and monitor all project workstreams
  • Develop and manage project budgets to meet financial goals
  • Produce budgetary reports to IHI management, including escalation of risks and problem solving to meet current and future objectives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage and improve standard organizational processes, such as faculty contracting, accreditation, and results reporting
  • Collaborate with faculty and other project staff to design and revise content offerings and supporting materials
  • Plan project activities, including in-person meetings, teleconferences, and web seminars
  • Build and proactively manage relationships with customers, partners, funders, and faculty
  • Proactively serve as the communication link between project teams (directors, faculty, improvement advisors, IHI staff), IHI Management, customers, and other IHI departments on progress, risks and mitigation strategies, and successes
  • Oversee knowledge and document management processes for projects, including connecting across the organization
  • Act as a "steward of improvement,"' using quality improvement tools to continuously improve all processes
  • Facilitate internal and external (when appropriate) project meetings to meet desired outcomes
  • Proactively manage and adjust their portfolio of projects and responsibilities given workload changes, timelines, and organizational priorities
  • Effectively delegate to and develop associate project managers, and other staff, serving as coach/mentor when appropriate
  • Write and edit reports and publications for internal and external use
  • Support the business development process by contributing to proposal or scope of work development

  • Ability to organize, facilitate, and manage web-based (Zoom and Microsoft Teams) meetings, ensuring productive discussions, engagement, and clear communication among diverse stakeholders

Position Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
  • Three to five years of previous work experience in a professional environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish and English
  • Experience in health care

Preferred

  • Live and be legally able to work in Colombia
  • Prior project management experience

Physical Attributes:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods: Capability to work at a desk for long durations
  • Manual dexterity: Proficiency in using a computer, including typing, mouse handling, and other office equipment
  • Visual acuity: Ability to read and view a computer screen for extended periods
  • Hearing and speaking: Clear communication over phone and video calls
  • Environment setup: Access to a quiet, professional home office setup conducive to focused work and virtual meetings
  • Lifting: Occasionally requires lifting up to 25 lb / 11.5 kg as needed
