WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?
As an Experienced Electrician, you will travel to industrial sites across the country, where you will install the electrical infrastructure and wiring essential for industrial refrigeration systems. You will handle both high voltage (power) and low voltage (control) circuits, ensuring the entire system is properly and safely connected. You will carefully follow blueprints, specifications, and all applicable electrical codes as you connect systems to compressors, condensers, fans, and control panels. A critical part of your day will involve wiring and integrating sophisticated control panels, including MCCs, PLCs, and DDCs, ensuring all controls, sensors, thermostats, and safety devices are connected correctly. Before the full system startup, you will thoroughly test and commission the electrical systems, verifying grounding, voltage, and circuit functionality. You will consistently read and interpret technical diagrams and manufacturer manuals to guarantee precise installations, all while strictly adhering to job-site safety procedures and national electrical codes.

WHAT'S NEEDED FROM AN EXPERIENCED ELECTRICIAN?
Schedule: This is a full-time position. You will typically work 6 to 10-hour days. Because IHG Mechanical handles major national projects, you will travel throughout the U.S., with up to 100% travel required for this position.
Qualifications For An Experienced Electrician:
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program OR six or more years of on-the-job electrical experience
- Experience installing electrical systems in industrial refrigeration equipment
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and electrical codes
- Ability to travel nationwide for projects, as up to 100% travel is required
