IHC is seeking an experienced Oxy-Acetylene Torch Cutter / Laborer to join our growing team. If you have cutting torch experience, enjoy hands-on work, and take pride in working safely, we want to hear from you.
Position Responsibilities
- Safely operate an oxy-acetylene cutting torch to dismantle scrap metal and industrial equipment.
- Cut large metal components into manageable pieces for loading and disposal.
- Assist with demolition and clean-up activities at industrial job sites.
- Load scrap material into dumpsters and containers for transportation.
- Follow all company and customer safety policies, including required PPE.
- Work at power plants, rock quarries, manufacturing facilities, and similar industrial locations.
- Perform general labor duties as needed to support the crew.
Qualifications
- Previous experience using an oxy-acetylene cutting torch is required.
- Strong understanding of safe cutting practices and job-site safety.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments year-round.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on uneven terrain.
- Experience operating skid steers, excavators, loaders, or similar heavy equipment is a plus.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
