Description:
- Warms up and performs QA tests on simulator, CT, BAT and treatment equipment following
- Uses radiation detection equipment in a safe and careful manner.
- Inspects ancillary devices prior to use. Reports any problems to appropriate person.
- Verifies functioning of the radiation detectors.
- Checks blocks for proper orientation and accuracy before filming.
- Performs weekly QA on simulator and treatment equipment folowing established procedures.
- Assists in maintenance of the dark room. Report any problems to the appropriate person for
- Maintains accurate records of all equipment service/function/maintenance etc.
- Graduation from an AMA accredited school of Radiation Therapy is required.
- Knowledge of principles, techniques and methodology of radiation therapy is required.
- Behavior and personality conducive to working with cancer patients is necessary.
- Current State of Florida License as a Certified Radiology Technologist (CRT)
- ARRT (T) or eligible
- Current BLS Certification Required
