Level III Trauma Center

35,000 visits/year

Full-service hospital with a 24/7 Hospitalist program, air medical and ambulance services, CT/MRI in the department, bed-side ultrasound, and point-of-use supplies in every room

42 hours of physician coverage/day

Tertiary center with 300 physicians & specialist support to keep patients in house- Trauma surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, GI, ENT, Pediatric Hospitalists, OBGYN, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Neurology, Infectious Disease, Ortho Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Anesthesia, Radiology, etc.

Only transfers out < 1% of patients

Practice at one site!

Teaching opportunity- residents, med-students, PA/ARNP students

• Extra shift bonus pay- $276.92/hr (day); $301.09/hr (night)
• $60,000 recruitment bonus
• Up to $15,000 moving allowance
• 1620 hours/year for Full-Time (135 12-hr shifts/year)
• Annual CME allowance of $6,000

Qualifications

• BC/BE Must be board certified within 3 years of becoming eligible
• Must complete an ER Residency Program or ER Fellowship
• H1B candidates encouraged to apply
• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
