This role will support the automation of in-house production and help expand these solutions to our customers. Job Description Are you skilled in assembling and wiring robotic systems? At Igus Inc., we’re looking for a Assembly Technician to join our fast-paced team building low-cost, high-impact automation solutions. In this role, you’ll take robotics kits and components from concept to fully assembled systems, ensuring they are ready for engineers to program and deploy. What You’ll Work On: Robotics Assembly: Build and assemble robotic systems and automation hardware according to specifications and engineering drawings.Electrical Wiring & Integration: Wire up motors, controllers, sensors, and other components to ensure systems are fully functional and ready for programming.Quality & Testing: Perform initial checks and functional tests to verify proper assembly and wiring before handoff to engineers.Collaborate with Engineers: Work closely with automation engineers to ensure systems meet design requirements and are optimized for programming and deployment.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly steps, wiring diagrams, and any modifications for future reference and troubleshooting.Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to assembly processes and contribute to building scalable, repeatable solutions. Qualifications: 1- 5 years of experience in mechanical assembly and electrical wiring.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics. Strong understanding of motors, sensors, controllers, and basic electronics. Hands-on skills with tools and equipment for assembly and testing. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
