Assembler

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of this position is to Read Packing List and Assembly Drawings in order to assemble and package order.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow assembly instructions, processes and procedures by reviewing assembly instructions, drawings and parts lists.
• Assembles orders by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Operate automated assembly machines, including hand-feeding of links, to complete production tasks
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Team Leader
• Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Perform other duties as requested by Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Manual dexterity and good eyesight are required for building orders.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic reading, writing and math skills required
• Follow directions carefully to complete the orders correctly.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be available and willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to satisfy customer needs.
