Responsibilities
- Conduct lifeguard training sessions in accordance with established curriculum and safety standards.
- Evaluate trainees' performance, providing constructive feedback and additional support as needed.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to continuously improve training programs and materials.
- Ensure all training activities are compliant with state regulations and industry best practices.
- Participate in regular professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills.
- Foster a positive, energetic, and supportive learning environment for all trainees.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 yrs or older.
- Current certification as a Lifeguard Instructor from the American Red Cross.
- Proven experience in lifeguarding, with a strong preference for candidates who have previous teaching or coaching experience. (minimum 2 years of experience)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire trainees.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of professionalism and ethics.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by training schedules.
