Job Title: Research Engineer I
Duration - 12 Months
Location - Warsaw IN 46580
Duties:
· This position involves technical and hands-on identification, evaluation, and development of technologies, utilizing the candidate’s skill sets as well as those of the team members to recommend and pursue future pathways.
· Frequent communication with internal and external customers is expected.
· Both teamwork and individual contributions are valued.
· The ideal candidate will possess a passion for learning, an innate curiosity, and be a technical leader.
· Assists in the development of individual research and testing project plans.
· Is knowledgeable of the capabilities and operation of sophisticated test methods in their area of expertise, preferred
· Is familiar with national and international testing standards related to work in their assigned laboratory, is preferred.
· Maintains good oral and written communication skills, to participate in meetings related to the research and testing program, and provide timely and accurate reporting on project progress and completion.
· Monitors scientific and medical literature for advancement relevant to the assigned research and testing objectives.
· Consults with and provides technical evaluations for other departments (Development, Manufacturing, Legal, etc.)
· Will assist in development of test programs, formulate test protocols, and choose appropriate test equipment.
Skills:
· Technical knowledge in science, engineering, or relevant discipline.
· Strong personal curiosity in a broad array of technologies.
· Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
· Experience in laboratory testing & test equipment, is preferred.
· Possess knowledge of statistical analysis, is preferred
· Inquisitive ability to analyze problems and develop solutions
Education:
· Minimum of a BS in Engineering.
· 0-3 years’ experience in an academic or industry setting.
· Experience in orthopedics or medical device field is desirable.
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
