About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical Planner III to join our Nuclear Projects team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and preparing detailed work packages for both large- and small-scale electrical projects. This position plays a key role in ensuring all work is performed safely, reliably, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare electrical work packages for nuclear projects and modifications.
- Conduct field walkdowns to analyze maintenance, surveillance, and project requirements.
- Identify materials, tools, and procedures needed for successful work execution.
- Collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with NEC codes, nuclear safety standards, and company procedures.
- Prepare regulatory and safety documentation (RWPs, fire impairments, ALARA task outlines, etc.).
- Review, approve, and update maintenance procedures to enhance work package quality.
- Participate in scheduling meetings, troubleshooting reviews, clearance orders, and risk assessments.
- Provide oversight of other planners or contractors as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree 6 years technical experience (maintenance, engineering, operations, or planning) OR
- Associate’s degree 8 years technical experience OR
- High school diploma/GED technical training/apprenticeship 6 years technical experience OR
- High school diploma/GED 10 years technical experience.
- Strong communication (written & verbal) and computer skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
- Eligible to obtain Planner I qualification.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a nuclear environment (2 years highly desired).
- Knowledge of nuclear work management processes, ALARA requirements, and safety regulations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines.
- Strong technical writing, trending, and reporting skills.
- Proven ability to foster collaboration and maintain effective working relationships.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
