Looking for a Local self motivated CDL driver to join our dynamic team as a Roll-Off Driver and become a vital part of our waste management and disposal operations! In this energetic role, you will operate various types of trucks—including roll-off, front loader, rear loader, dump trucks, and flatbeds—to efficiently transport and deliver waste containers. Responsibilities
- Safely operate roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbed vehicles to load, unload, and transport waste containers.
- Load and unload containers with precision, ensuring secure placement for transportation.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure safety compliance.
- Drive heavy-duty trucks with manual transmissions across various routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, using mechanical tools or manual effort to handle containers or equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, vehicle maintenance, and safety checks for compliance purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmissions is preferred.
- Ability to operate front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and dump trucks confidently.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling of containers or equipment in various weather conditions.
- Excellent driving skills combined with a safety-first mindset; familiarity with load & unload procedures is essential.
- Prior delivery driver experience is highly desirable; familiarity with route planning and time management will set you apart.
