Summary:
On behalf of our client, IGNYTE AI, a Kingsley Gate company, is seeking a Director, Business Office within a healthcare company that plays a crucial role in driving organizational excellence and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
The Director of Business Office position is a critical leadership opportunity for an experienced revenue cycle professional who thrives in transformational environments. This role will provide strategic and operational leadership for all business office functions. The Director will oversee a team of approximately 20 direct reports and will be responsible for managing hospital, clinic, and client accounts receivable, including HBPB billing operations and Epic systems implementation and optimization.

- Onsite 5 days weekly in Stillwater, Oklahoma
Responsibilities:
Epic EMR Implementation Leadership: Lead all business office aspects of the Epic implementation, including workflow design, system configuration oversight, testing coordination, and go-live preparation. Serve as the primary business office liaison to the Epic implementation team and ensure seamless integration with HBPB billing operations.
Comprehensive Business Office Operations Management: Provide comprehensive oversight of all Central Business Office functions including hospital, clinic, and client accounts receivable management, claims processing, payment posting, denial management, account follow-up, patient billing, and credit and collection activities.
Insurance Contract and Agreement Management: Oversee insurance agreements and payer contracts as they relate to billing operations, ensuring that billing practices align with contractual requirements and that reimbursement is optimized within contract parameters. Serve as a liaison between business office operations and payer relations, providing operational input on contract negotiations and implementing billing procedures that support contract compliance.
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present monthly and annual financial reports related to business office operations, accounts receivable performance, collection rates, and revenue cycle metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to revenue cycle leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Legacy System Transition Management: Orchestrate the complex transition from current systems to Epic, ensuring data integrity, continuity of billing operations, and minimal disruption to revenue cycle performance. Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies for the conversion period.
Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure all business office operations comply with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations including HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid billing requirements, and commercial insurance guidelines. Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and implement necessary operational adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or master’s degree in related field preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in increasing responsible financial positions in healthcare.
- 5 years of experience in physician practice billing preferred.
- Must have thorough knowledge of billing, collection, and accounts receivable management controls as well as general knowledge of financial analysis.
- 3-5 years managing a team of 10 employees.
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively lead a patient centered customer service team and processes.
Compensation:
- Total Compensation range, based on experience: $110-130K annually
