Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Data Analyst/Scientist in support of a pending award with the US Navy in Washington DC and San Antonio, TX areas. This position is expected to be remote.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

 

1. Data Collection and Enhancement:

· Collect and process data from various US Navy systems, databases, and external sources.

· Enhance data quality through cleaning, validation, and preprocessing techniques.

· Implement methods to handle data discrepancies, missing values, and anomalies.

2. Application Development and Advanced Visualization:

· Design and build web applications with focus on user experience, performance and scalability.

· Design and build sophisticated visualization tools/interactive dashboards to simplify complex analytical results for strategic decision-making.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration and Strategic Communication:

· Collaborate with US Navy personnel, fellow data scientists, and external partners to align data science activities with organizational goals.

· Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to aid in strategic planning, resource allocation, and mission execution.

 

Job Requirements and Qualifications: 

· Minimum of 4 years of experience in data science or a similar analytical role.

· Proficient with advanced data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and QlikView.

· Familiarity with core web technologies such as HTML/CSS/JavaScript as well as Office365 and Sharepoint.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.

· Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex information in an understandable manner.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· U.S. Citizenship required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

· Prior experience with military or government entities.

· Knowledge of US Navy missions, operations, and systems.

 

Security Clearance Requirements:  

Must have an active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one. 

  

Education Requirements: 

· Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field.

 

Other Requirements: 

Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold an active Security Clearance
