Position Overview:
The Computer Hardware Engineer (Journeyman) is responsible for the design, testing, and support of computer and network-related equipment used across the U.S. Coast Guard Information Systems Division. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that hardware systems meet user requirements, comply with licensing agreements, and align with mission objectives. The engineer will participate in lifecycle hardware management, perform asset tracking, evaluate system performance, and contribute to procurement and compliance processes. Strong communication, documentation, and customer support skills are essential to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:

Research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and related components for use in commercial, industrial, military, or scientific applications.
