Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Therapist to join our mental health clinic. Must be licensed in the state of Idaho (although interns are encouraged to inquire about utilizing our site for practicum and internships). We are looking for both telehealth and in-person therapists to join our team.
In this vital role, you will provide expert psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. As a nonprofit, family resource center, we take a unique approach to supporting the needs of individuals and families.
Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. You will utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, and behavioral therapy, to deliver comprehensive care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through direct support, crisis intervention, and innovative treatment approaches within outpatient and inpatient settings.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using the DSM V to accurately document mental health conditions
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention protocols to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma such as PTSD or grief
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical research findings and insurer requirements
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant and timely documentation with precise medical terminology and CPT coding for billing purposes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, pediatric specialists, and medical professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Engage in ongoing professional development through research activities and data collection to enhance therapeutic outcomes
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC or equivalent)
- Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, addiction counseling, grief counseling, chronic pain counseling and PTSD care
- Knowledge of medical records management systems ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Ability to perform intake assessments
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care
