Ignite Hybrid School is a part time private Christian school, providing two days of academic classes each week.
Approximately 68 class days are held at Faith Lutheran Church (1716 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka) on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the school year. School starts at 8:30 am and dismisses at 3:30 pm.

Music Teacher (includes preschool-4th general music and choir and band assistant for grades 5-9)
PE Teacher (preschool-4th grade)
Elementary Teachers 2nd Grade and 4th Grade
Kindergarten Prep Teacher (4 & 5 year-olds)

Qualifications
We prefer for our teachers to hold degrees in education or an area related to their content. Experience is a definite plus! Certification is not a requirement. Preschool and kindergarten prep teachers, assistant teachers, and substitute teachers should hold an associates level degree or higher. All staff candidates must pass a clear background check.

Teaching at Ignite
Most of our teachers have taught public school and have loved the transition to small class sizes (16 students max at the elementary level), and families who are partners in their child's education, making them both supportive and involved. We are a Christian school, and discipleship occurs naturally in the classroom as teachers share their faith openly. For the 26-27 school year, teachers will work 8 hour days on Tuesdays and Thursdays, teaching all content areas. Teachers are also responsible for providing home learning plans and assignments for parents for 2 days each week. Instruction at Ignite is explicit and hands on. Teachers are provided curriculum for all content areas.

PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN PREP (3-5 YEAR OLDS)
Preschool & Kindergarten Prep are academic programs including play, creativity, lots of wonderful stories, music, art, math exploration, school readiness skills, and so much more!
KINDERGARTEN
Kindergarten is an academic programs including play, creativity, lots of wonderful stories, music, art, math exploration, school readiness skills and so much more! Teachers stay with their classes and teach all subjects offered at Ignite, with the exception of music. A full curriculum IS instructed for every content area. Teachers provide home learning assignments for kindergarten students.
ELEMENTARY - 1st-4th
Elementary teachers stay with their classes and teach all subjects offered at Ignite, with the exception of music. Teachers assign and grade home learning assignments, communicate with students and parents, and offer an extension program called Challenge.
INTERMEDIATE/MIDDLE SCHOOL - 5th-8th Teachers of our Intermediate and middle school program instruct in writing, literature, history, science, math, and Bible. Teachers assign and grade home learning assignments, communicate with students and parents, and offer Challenge assignments.
