Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to provide systems engineering and technical support to assess and develop the future Missile Defense System.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assess Missile Defense (MD) threats, capability gaps, challenges, needs and opportunities, and develop potential system mitigations and capability evolutions at the architecture level
- Support the above efforts by sourcing, generating, and organizing engineered threat data; developing threat scenarios; reviewing current threat intelligence reports
- Support analysis efforts of MDS architecture studies on the DoD High Performance Computing (HPC)
- Support Missile Defense Wargaming efforts
- Review and provide quality assurance of team analysis products prior to delivery; mentor younger engineers
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in STEM and 12 years' experience
- Active Secret clearance required
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI
- Extensive knowledge of the current MDS architecture and/or foreign missile systems
- Experience with Excel and data analysis
- Experience with MATLAB
Desired Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Specialized MDS analysis experience in: threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signatures
- Experience with M&S and analysis of MDS architectures involving future concepts
- Experience with TGx, HPC Systems, Python, and Git is a plus
- Experience with BMD Benchmark
- Experience with large datasets and data organization methods
- Experience working in the Missile Defense Agency
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Secret Security Clearance
Education Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in STEM Discipline
