About the Role:
IGK North America Inc is looking for a skilled and motivated Process Operator to join our team in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will bring several years of hands-on manufacturing experience and will work closely with a veteran team of process and machine operators whose experience and know-how are key to the success of this important role.
Responsibilities:
- Load raw materials into mixers according to batch tickets and established procedures
- Monitor and adjust machine processes in response to changing variables to maintain product quality and consistency
- Read and accurately follow batch tickets, including measuring and verifying material quantities
- Cross-train on different machinery and processes to support plant operations
- Maintain accurate production logs, shift reports, and operational documentation
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support equipment upkeep and process improvements
Skills and Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience as a process operator or in a similar manufacturing role
- Familiarity with process control systems, instrumentation, and production equipment
- Ability to read and follow batch tickets accurately
- Ability to operate a standard propane forklift safely
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to following safety rules and procedures
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to respond quickly to process changes
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training is a plus
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed
- The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds (such as bags of raw materials)
