Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential care facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in group home settings and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to residents. This role is vital in ensuring that the needs of our residents are met with dignity and respect while fostering a supportive community environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise staff and coordinate daily activities within the residential facility.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards related to group home and community care.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including meal preparation, personal care, and cleaning tasks.
- Provide direct support to residents, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents.
- Facilitate communication between staff, residents, families, and external service providers.
Experience
- Previous experience in a group home or similar residential setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of senior care practices, including meal preparation and personal care routines.
- Familiarity with direct support services for individuals with varying needs.
- Ability to lift and assist residents as required for their safety and comfort.
- Experience in nursing homes or personal care homes is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships among staff, residents, and families.
