Laser Operator
Job Summary:
The laser Operator will keep the laser running while inspecting parts and loading material.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares, sets up, and adjusts the laser as required by product plans and production schedules.
- Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available.
- Measures and aligns materials to be used.
- Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Performs routine maintenance on the laser.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate the lasers.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Forklift training recommended
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to operate the laser and forklift.
- Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
