Medical Biller
We are looking for a Medical Biller with experience in Neurosurgery, Spine and Orthopedics located in Totowa, New Jersey. The position requires someone who has done surgical coding for an out-of-network practice and has claim experience with personal injury protection, workman’s compensation, and motor vehicle accidents.
The Medical Billers help navigate various insurance rules and regulations to reduce account receivable days. Provide successful follow-up efforts for A/R including the appeals process for denied claims. Implement best practices for insurance and patient collections while maintaining excellent public relations.
Core Requirements:
- Experience working in an Out-of-Network practice.
- Knowledgeable with processing PIP, WC and MVA claims
- Experience in working in a surgical environment [ 2 years].
- Highschool diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer programs Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with Greenway a plus.
- Certified in CPT and ICD-10 is a plus.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Electronic billing and EFT submissions.
- Resolving insurance denials and appeals.
- Reducing account receivable days.
- Processing and posting payments.
- Reconcile delinquent accounts.
- Collecting and distributing appropriate paperwork to the necessary parties.
- Various administrative tasks.
