Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in South Bend, IN, for a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer will oversee quality management processes, ensuring adherence to high standards and compliance with certifications. Responsibilities include auditing and improving quality assurance protocols, monitoring product quality, conducting root cause analyses, and working with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions. The role requires active engagement in process optimization and collaboration with stakeholders to maintain customer satisfaction and enhance operational performance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Quality Engineering, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance methodologies
- Strong expertise in Product Quality assessment and Quality Management systems
- Ability to design, implement, and improve quality processes and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
- Experience with ISO 9002, AS 9000, QS-9000, Nadcap, and ISO 14001 standards is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work within cross-functional teams effectively
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field
