Background
The Capacity Development Commission (CDC) of IFSA is a Commission that coordinates
projects and opportunities for IFSA members. It was created during the General Assembly
in 2018 integrating different existing Commissions and Sub-Commissions with common
goals. The Capacity Development Commission is one of the two Commissions within the
Internal Department of IFSA.
The Commission seeks opportunities for IFSA members to develop soft skills and
complement their education by creating spaces to learn topics generally overlooked.
Together with the Sub-Commissions creates new learning content and activities such as
training sessions, workshops and spaces to interact with other members.
The Capacity Development Commission is managed by the Head of Capacity Development
Commission and overseen, together with the Communication Commission by the Internal
Councilor.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Schedule and organize Commission meetings.
- Ensuring that all the goals of the Commission are met.
- Staying in touch with the Internal Councilor in all the matters related to the Commission.
- Report regularly about the work of the CDC to the IFSA Board.
- Oversee and supervise the work of the Heads of Sub-Commission and Commissioners.
- Directly supporting HoSCs in their tasks and connecting them with the necessary resources for their achievement.
- Performing tasks that HoSC is unable to complete.
- Ensuring teamwork and good communication inside the Commission.
- Good knowledge about IFSA
- Leadership and team-building skills
- Good project and time management skills
- Effective communication and organization skills
- Being creative and responsible
The average workload is 5-10 hours per week.
Requirements
In order to apply for a commissioner position you must comply with these requirements:
- You need to be a member of an IFSA Local Committee and either be an active student or have graduated no longer than one year ago.
- Good Internet connection, given the fact that all the work as a commissioner is done remotely.
- Access to a Computer or tablet.
If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, you first need to ensure that
you comply with the requirements. The application consists of a LC verification letter
and motivation letter (max. 200 words).

words. Note that these points correspond to the criteria that are used to evaluate the
motivation letter.
