Build products that bond—right from the production floor
Join a team that blends, batches, and packages industrial adhesives with precision. In this role, you convert raw materials into finished hot-melt products by following formulas, weighing to exact targets, and documenting every step of the process.
Your impact
- Precisely weigh loose or packaged materials, adding/removing to hit specified weights.
- Read work orders and formulas; follow defined procedures for each manufacturing run.
- Record all raw and finished weights; maintain perpetual inventory and label/mark drums correctly.
- Stage and load materials into vats, hoppers, or mixing pots in the required sequence.
- Start equipment and monitor for proper operation; stop and report any malfunction to a supervisor.
- Log critical parameters (time and temperature) on the batch ticket.
- Transfer materials to production or storage as needed.
- Document key product data: weight, type, date, and batch number.
- Inspect materials, products, and containers at every step for quality.
- Cross-train across the full production line and assist with cleaning of machines, tools, and work areas.
Open shifts
Hotmelt department openings on 2nd and 3rd shift with shift differential pay.
What you need to succeed
- Commitment to safety: follow procedures, complete required training, and wear PPE.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly for work instructions and documentation.
- Willingness to learn scan guns for inventory control and reporting.
- Strength and stamina: lift 55 lb bags repeatedly; stand/walk/bend/climb stairs for an 8-hour shift; open to any shift.
- Shop math fundamentals (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Comfort working in a hot, dusty, non-climate-controlled environment while wearing PPE.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Interest in learning safe forklift operation.
- Continuous improvement mindset—apply Lean Manufacturing techniques and show initiative.
- High school diploma or GED.
