Position Summary
The Learning Media Developer supports IFPTI in creating and producing multimedia content for educational purposes, such as online courses and training materials. They work with subject matter experts and instructional designers to develop interactive content like videos, graphics, and e-learning modules using various software tools. The primary goal is to make learning engaging and effective for participants.
Key responsibilities
- Create multimedia assets: Record and edit videos, develop interactive elements, and design graphics to support course content.
- Collaborate with others: Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create content and with instructional designers to translate design documents into a final product.
- Produce e-learning modules: Build interactive learning modules using e-learning authoring software; including quizzes, activities, and branching scenarios.
- Ensure technical and user experience: Use technical skills to create user-friendly, accessible, and effective digital learning experiences.
- Stay current with technology: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in educational technology and multimedia production.
Skills
- Technical skills: Proficiency in multimedia editing software, e-learning authoring tools (like iSpring, Articulate Storyline, or Captivate), and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Creative and visual skills: Ability to use visual design principles to create engaging and effective content.
- Collaboration and communication: Ability to work with and communicate effectively with SMEs and other team members.
- Instructional design principles: Understanding of how to create effective learning experiences, although they are distinct from instructional designers who focus on the learning theory and content structure.
Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree in a related field like digital media, education, or technical writing is often required, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, originality, and the ability to communicate through design and motion.

Physical Factors/Working Conditions:
Work is generally performed virtually with standard office equipment available. Employee will need to provide a dedicated private workspace including the high-speed internet. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing, walking, and light lifting. Included is exposure to a wide range of travel conditions (walking, lifting, driving, riding in vehicles, hotel stays, weather conditions).
