Concrete Estimator

Salary: $75k–$90k/year
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Concrete Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial concrete construction projects. This role involves blueprint review, detailed take-offs, bid preparation, and coordination with field teams and project managers across public and private sector projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review blueprints, specs, and project documents to prepare time, labor, and cost estimates.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs for structural concrete, excavation, and utilities.
- Manage multiple bids and collaborate with internal teams on RFIs, change orders, and project requirements.
- Lead estimating efforts for hard-bid, negotiated, and design-build projects.
- Evaluate scope of work, attend pre-bid meetings, and prepare complete pricing packages.
- Support project managers with cost evaluations, buyout process, and permitting.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Mentor junior estimating staff.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience estimating large civil or self-perform concrete projects.
- Strong field knowledge of structural concrete, excavation, and utility installation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.
- Proficiency with estimating software; HCSS preferred.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Any one Professional certification required (ASPE, CCP, CCE, CEP, or CPE).
