Job Title: Broadband Maintenance Technician (COAX/OSP)/COAX OSP Maintenance Technician (Field Work)
Location: Saint Mary’s, Snowshoe, Zion, Bellefonte, Lewistown, PA
Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay: $25 - $35 per hour
Job Overview:
Perform essential maintenance and repairs on cable (CATV) systems. You will troubleshoot signal issues, balance networks, and restore service in the field, working independently across various outdoor locations and conditions.
Must-Have Requirements:
- 5 years of hands-on CATV or cable industry experience.
- RF maintenance and repair experience in cable systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent record.
- Ability to drive and operate a bucket truck.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair signal faults in cable distribution systems.
- Perform system sweeps, balancing, egress/ingress detection, and proofing.
- Restore outages and complete service orders.
- Use test equipment: signal level meters, spectrum analyzers, sweep gear, TDRs.
- Climb poles/ladders and work at heights up to 40 feet.
- Travel as needed and be on-call for emergencies.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 100 lbs; carry and extend ladders.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Comfortable with daily climbing and working at height.

Experience:
- Maintaining cable (CATV) systems: 3 years (Required)
- Balancing actives and passives in a coaxial plant: 3 years (Required)
- Signal level meter, spectrum analyzer, and sweep gear: 3 years (Required)
- Troubleshoot, fix chronic ingress problem on a coaxial line: 2 years (Required)
- RF maintenance and repairs in a cable (CATV) system: 2 years (Required)
