We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Forensic Electrical Engineer to join our team and contribute to a wide variety of forensic analysis cases.
Position Overview:
As a Forensic Electrical Engineer at [Company Name], you will be responsible for investigating electrical failures, accidents, fires, and incidents, and providing expert analysis and testimony. You will work closely with insurance companies, legal teams, and clients to determine the cause of electrical malfunctions, assess damages, and recommend corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site investigations and analyses of electrical system failures, fire incidents, accidents, and other electrical malfunctions.
- Review and analyze electrical system designs, installations, and maintenance records.
- Perform detailed testing, simulations, and diagnostics to understand the root cause of incidents.
- Prepare clear and concise forensic reports and present findings to clients and in legal settings.
- Collaborate with legal professionals, insurance adjusters, and other forensic experts in preparing case files and reports.
- Provide expert testimony in court when required.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest electrical engineering standards, technologies, and best practices.
- Assist in the development of safety protocols and recommendations to prevent future incidents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including residential, commercial, and industrial systems.
- Proven experience with investigative tools, testing equipment, and forensic analysis techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and present findings clearly.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Familiarity with fire investigation methods and failure analysis techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Experience in providing expert testimony is a plus.
There will be travel and overnight stays.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
