Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations across air, water, wastewater, stormwater, waste, and chemical management.
- Maintain, track, and manage all environmental permits, registrations, and regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., air permits, NPDES, stormwater, waste manifests).
- Serve as the site subject‑matter expert for environmental regulations and manage interactions with regulatory agencies.
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely environmental reports and documentation.
- Support capital projects and process changes by conducting environmental reviews and identifying permitting needs.
- Participate as the environmental lead in MOC, PSSR, and project risk review processes.
- Provide environmental requirements and guidance for new equipment, process modifications, and facility changes.
- Lead environmental inspections, self‑assessments, internal audits, and incident investigations to maintain compliance and prevent recurrence.
- Track, analyze, and communicate environmental performance metrics to site leadership.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related technical field.
- 3–7 years of environmental experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations, including air, water, wastewater, waste, and stormwater.
- Experience supporting regulatory inspections, audits, and agency interactions.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and ability to influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
- Experience supporting process changes or capital projects with environmental compliance considerations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of waste management practices, environmental monitoring, and incident investigation processes.
How You Would Stand Out
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience in food, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with corporate EHS management systems, environmental auditing, and sustainability frameworks.
