Job Summary

The electrician role is responsible for maintaining industrial process and packaging equipment at required operating levels at the site. As an electrician you will be troubleshooting electrical equipment, replacing parts, repairing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance. This is a day shift Monday through Friday role that requires a rotating, on-call schedule, including some occasional weekend work.

This role is responsible for maintaining industrial process and packaging equipment at required operating levels at the site. As an electrician you will be troubleshooting electrical equipment, replacing parts, repairing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance. This is a day shift Monday through Friday role that requires a rotating, on-call schedule, including some occasional weekend work.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Execute maintenance electrical work orders
• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance on electrical equipment as assigned
• Service, troubleshoot, and repair any problem of electrical nature including, but not limited to, MCC panels, equipment wiring, PLC cabinets, working on voltages from 12v to 480v, wiring motors, and working with instrumentation. May be trained to work with 4160v switchgear.
• Verification of successful repair/installation prior to equipment turn over to operations
• Maintain adherence to site safety, environmental requirements and other policies
• Completing the necessary permit before work, to ensure proper LOTO.
  
  

The following are required:

• High School Diploma/GED, technical level classes preferred
• 3 years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, military, or related role
• Knowledge of hand tools and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of electrical tools, including a multi-meter
• Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Positive attitude with an open-minded approach to learning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to gather information related to electrical failures
• Willing and able to adapt to a changing workday
• Willing and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditions
• Willing and able to complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
• Willing and able to climb and/or work in elevated areas
• Willing and able to work in confined spaces
• Willing and able to stand and/or sit for extended periods
• Willing and able to work a day shift role with a rotating, on call schedule for a facility that operates 24/7
