WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a technically minded, business-oriented Product Manager to join our R&D team in an important commercial capacity. The ideal candidate has worked in a technical role within food, beverage, cosmetic, or personal care ingredients and understands what makes a product technically sound, commercially viable, and operationally supportable. This person can combine technical, operational, and commercial data to inform and guide product decisions, portfolio improvements, pricing strategy, and product prioritization.
This is a highly cross-functional and self-driven role that requires ownership, sound judgment and attention to detail. The right candidate is motivated by building structure, improving systems, and making a meaningful impact across IFC’s product portfolio and the business functions that support it.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience working with natural and organic ingredients. Experience with colors, emulsifiers, or release agent formulation or application is a plus.
- Experience in a product specialist/manager role or similar
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable presenting to groups.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, projects, or processes.
- Must have a strong business and project management mindset.
- A high degree of competency with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Willingness to travel as needed for tradeshows or customer visits (<10%)
- Must be fluent in English. Bi- or multi-lingual is a plus.
WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES:
- Own and strengthen IFC’s commercial product portfolio by maintaining high product standards and driving continuous improvement in product quality and performance, manufacturability, profitability, and long-term business value.
- Generate and maintain commercial product pricing for portfolio, including customized products or specific business case requirements. Regularly update pricing based on cost changes to maintain margin targets.
- Serve as the primary product information resource internally and externally for customers. Partner across the organization with sales, marketing, R&D, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing to ensure priority products are well supported end-to-end for existing and new business.
- Project manage contract and toll blending service projects by working with sales to assess opportunity fit and requirements, and coordinate with resources as needed to ensure smooth and successful execution and integration to the manufactured product portfolio.

Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
