Essential Job Functions Check all safety devices, assuring they are in place and in working order prior to operating the machine. Prior to sewing, inspect and repair any operations incorrectly done, including unacceptable stiches on materials provided to you. Thread machine and change bobbin as needed. Following the trainer or supervisor’s instructions, perform assigned sewing tasks. Non-Essential Job Functions Attend training and meetings as scheduled. Perform other duties as apparent or assigned. Qualifications Working Conditions Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Must be able to follow verbal instructions. Must have the dexterity to operate various industrial sewing machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds. Must consistently meet production and quality standards of a Level IV operator. Must consistently exceed production and quality standards of a Level III operator. Working Conditions Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Must be able to follow verbal instructions. Must have the dexterity to operate various industrial sewing machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds. Must meet efficiency standards in order to move to Sewing Machine Operator II.
