What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Assistant - Dog Collar Assembly position at If It Barks?
Would you like to join our team?! If It Barks is a small online retailer of custom dog collars and leashes. Our workday is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. This is a great schedule for anyone who needs set hours but wants more free time later in the day. The environment is fun and drama-free, and we emphasize clear communication. This is a fast-paced position, and the applicant must be able to learn quickly. We work together as a team, so a team-player attitude is a must!
Your Responsibilities:
- Cut, sew, and attach hardware, according to established guidelines and procedures.
- Rotate stations as needed.
- Operation of our straight stitch and bar tacking machines. No previous sewing experience required!
- Perform minor equipment maintenance, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Assist in the manual cutting of webbing, ribbon, etc.
- Perform additional production duties as requested/required by management.
Competencies and Work Environment:
- Previous sewing experience is a plus but not required. If you have no experience, then you must be able to learn quickly.
- Problem-solving & analysis, multi-tasking, organization, dexterity, & high attention to detail.
- A background check will be performed and evaluated.
- Must be over 18 years old, lift 50 lbs, and climb a 3-step ladder to retrieve inventory.
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- This is a smoke, vape, & drug-free environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
