Qualifications
- Due to the requirement of this U.S. Federal Government contractor, candidates must be U.S. citizens for this specific opening.
- Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Full-time employees must be willing to relocate to Toledo, OH or surrounding area
- Temporary and contract openings do not require relocation to Toledo, OH
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
- Must be proficient with MS Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and take initiative.
- Team player and respectful of others.
IET Engineering Position Description
- Collect and analyze production data to measure productivity, efficiency, labor utilization, and workflow performance
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify delays, determine standard work times, and support labor standards development
- Assist in process mapping and workflow documentation, creating diagrams, SOPs, and visual work instructions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and process optimization activities
- Help develop and update work standards, including method sheets, job breakdowns, and standard operating procedures
- Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement
- Participate in layout planning by taking measurements, drafting basic layouts, and assisting with equipment moves or reconfiguration
- Support quality and safety initiatives by collecting defect data, observing workstation ergonomics, and identifying potential issues
- Prepare reports and documentation, summarizing observations, improvement opportunities, and study results for engineers and supervisors
- Coordinate with operators and supervisors, communicating findings, gathering feedback, and ensuring accurate implementation of improvements
