Who This Role Is For
This position is an excellent fit for candidates transitioning from education, business, management, supply chain, or other non-engineering fields. An engineering degree is not required for this role. Ideal candidates should have strong communication and problem-solving skills, analytical ability and the ability to learn new tools.
What You’ll Do
- Collect and analyze production data to measure productivity, efficiency, labor utilization, and workflow performance
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify delays, determine standard work times, and support labor standards development
- Assist in process mapping and workflow documentation, creating diagrams, SOPs, and visual work instructions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and process optimization activities
- Help develop and update work standards, including method sheets, job breakdowns, and standard operating procedures
- Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement
- Participate in layout planning by taking measurements, drafting basic layouts, and assisting with equipment moves or reconfiguration
- Support quality and safety initiatives by collecting defect data, observing workstation ergonomics, and identifying potential issues
- Prepare reports and documentation, summarizing observations, improvement opportunities, and study results for engineers and supervisors
- Coordinate with operators and supervisors, communicating findings, gathering feedback, and ensuring accurate implementation of improvements

Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Currently authorized to work in the U.S. full-time
- Willingness to travel
- Willingness to relocate to Toledo, OH for full-time roles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn new technical tools and software
