About the Role
IES Residential is looking for a motivated HVAC Start Up Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on commissioning and starting up new residential HVAC systems to ensure they operate at peak performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and passionate about delivering top-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Commission and start up new HVAC systems in residential construction.
Verify system performance, make necessary adjustments, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Perform diagnostic testing to confirm proper operation of HVAC equipment.
Communicate effectively with homeowners, builders, and superintendents regarding system performance and scheduling.
Document all commissioning activities and provide accurate reports.
Assist with warranty work and emergency service calls when needed.
Support the training and development of new HVAC technicians in the field.

Qualifications
Experience in new construction residential HVAC preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
High school diploma or GED required.
Bilingual abilities a plus.
Must pass all safety training, background check, and drug testing requirements.
Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, and work on ladders and scaffolds.
Willingness to travel to required job sites.
