Bayonet Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning is hiring a Certified Backflow Technician to support backflow testing, repair, and installation services in Hudson, Florida. This role ensures compliance with Florida DEP regulations and local water utility Cross-Connection Control programs.

Responsibilities
- Test and certify backflow prevention assemblies
- Repair or replace failed devices
- Install backflow assemblies per Florida Plumbing Code
- Submit accurate test reports to water utilities and municipalities
- Provide professional customer service in the field
Specific Qualifications
- Active Florida Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Plumbing license or plumbing experience
- Municipal, commercial, or industrial backflow experience
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods
- Ability to work in confined spaces (vaults, pits, mechanical rooms)
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions, including heat and humidity
- Ability to use hand tools and backflow testing equipment
- Ability to wear required PPE (safety boots, gloves, eye and high-visibility protection)
- Visual and auditory ability sufficient to read gauges, complete documentation, and communicate safely
