The Project Executive provides senior-level leadership across the Mission Critical Division, overseeing multiple large-scale data center projects and supporting project teams to achieve successful outcomes. Acting as a trusted representative of IES, this role emphasizes client engagement, financial performance, and team leadership. The Project Executive ensures projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of excellence while maintaining IES Mission Critici’s reputation for quality and long-term partnerships.
Job Summary
- Provide executive-level oversight of multiple mission critical data center projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Serve as the senior point of contact with clients and general contractors, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction across all assigned projects
- Review project financials including budgets, forecasts, billing, and profitability to ensure strong fiscal performance
- Lead project reviews with executive leadership, providing performance reporting and identifying project risks and opportunities
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor field progress, address challenges, and support project managers and superintendents
- Ensure adherence to IES Mission Critici’s safety-first culture and quality standards across all projects
- Mentor and develop project management staff, fostering professional growth and leadership within the division
- Represent IES Mission Critical with owners, general contractors, and industry partners to strengthen relationships and pursue repeat business
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive experience in electrical construction, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role
- Proven track record overseeing multiple projects $50M in size concurrently, within the mission critical data center sector
- Strong client-facing leadership skills with the ability to represent IES at the executive level
- Deep knowledge of electrical construction practices, and project delivery in a mission critical environment.
- Excellent financial acumen including cost tracking, revenue forecasting, and contract negotiation, and risk management.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop project management staff and field leadership teams
- Ability to travel as needed to project sites and client offices nationwide
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles, and drug-test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy
