About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Consultant with specialized expertise in Property Accounting for our Fortune 500 client. In this role, you will manage the property accounting month-end close duties for accounting for a multi-million dollar scope, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and precision in financial reporting for one of the world’s most recognizable organization.
This position is designed for a performance minded individual contributor who thrives in property accounting and its technical implications. You will serve as the go-to person for a large scope within a Fortune 500 company.
What You Will Do
- Execute Property Lifecycles: Own the end-to-end accounting for large-scale property portfolios, including acquisitions, capital improvements, depreciation, and impairment testing.
- Strategic Technical Advisory: Act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders on property-specific accounting standards, including ASC 842 (Leases) and/or IFRS 16.
- Data-Driven Reporting: Translate complex property data into actionable financial insights, ensuring all multi-million dollar assets are accounted for with "audit-ready" precision.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in property management workflows and implement scalable, tech-forward improvements within SAP, and specialized property management software.
- Compliance & Rigor: Manage complex reconciliations and fixed asset registers across diverse jurisdictions, maintaining the highest standards of US GAAP and IFRS compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global finance leads to ensure property accounting deliverables align with broader corporate financial objectives.
Qualifications Required
- Proven Track Record: 3 years of experience in Property Accounting, specifically supporting Fortune 500 environments or within a top-tier consulting/audit firm.
- Technical Mastery;”: Ability to read and interpret guidance.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, at minimum.
- Analytical Power: Ability to dissect complex property portfolios and build robust, data-backed accounting solutions.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced experience with Excel, SAP and property management systems.
