We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Analyst to join our finance team. This role will support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and data analysis to help drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for financial planning. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business objectives. 

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review. 

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting by compiling and analyzing financial results. 

  • Work with different departments to gather financial data and improve forecasting accuracy. 

  • Assist in variance analysis by comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance. 

  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports to support business decisions. 

  • Maintain and update financial models to support business planning and scenario analysis. 

  • Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to present financial insights clearly. 

  • Assist in process improvements and automation initiatives within the FP&A function. 

  • Assist in preparing presentations for management. 


Specific Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 

  • 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role (internships or relevant coursework a plus). 

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.). 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint. 

  • Experience with financial planning software, ERP systems, or business intelligence tools (Power BI) is a plus. 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets. 

  • Understanding of financial statements. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Eagerness to learn and develop a career in financial planning and analysis.
