Site Safety Manager - Data Center

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, seeking full-time Site Safety Manager - Data Center in Pecos, TX

Job Summary

• Provides safety leadership and technical support to operations and project teams, reports out safety performance
• Advises Operations Team and Project Managers on Company, contractual, and regulatory safety requirements during work planning
• Reviews site safety plans, risk assessments, permits, and related documentation; escalates issues as needed to the Senior Safety Manager
• Conducts regular job-site audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensures safe work practices and jobsite conditions
• Leads new hire and site-specific safety orientations, toolbox talks, and weekly safety meetings
• Responds to reports of incidents and safety concerns; leads, conducts and supports investigations and communicates findings with Senior Leadership as needed
• Ensures compliance with Company, customer, site, OSHA, and applicable regulatory standards; verifies and maintains required documentation
• Develops safety competencies, identification of strengths and opportunities for improvement
• Coordinates, facilitates, and tracks required safety training and maintains necessary safety certifications
• Utilizes Company safety systems and software to manage incidents, inspections, corrective actions, and training
• Monitors subcontractor activities for compliance with Company, customer, jobsite, and general contractor safety requirements
• Travel may be required.
  
  

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• OSHA 30-hour, OSHA 510, and First Aid/CPR certifications; CHST credential desired
• 5-7 years recent experience in construction safety or a related role
• Prior experience as Electrician highly preferred
• Strong understanding of construction processes and safety regulations
• Proficient computer and communication (written, verbal) skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and field employees
• Maintaining driving qualifications as required per IES Fleet Safety Program
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post-offer) background check and MVR check.
